How my journey began
My journey into photography began in 1998 — thanks to a misunderstanding.
I’d intended to study web design and turned up at my local college to discuss the course. Somewhere in that meeting, wires got spectacularly crossed and I left enrolled on a photography course instead. I figured I’d give it a go — and here I am.
Over the years, I’ve specialised in food photography because it unites two things I love: capturing the way light falls on things, and food itself. These days, I can pretty much guarantee there are examples of my work in your kitchen — in your fridge, your freezer, or in the cupboard. I’ve worked with most of the UK’s major supermarket groups, as well as clients around the world, and I’ve genuinely loved every minute of it.
For eight years I was Photographic Director at an international design agency, where I developed visual styles for major brands and wrote the photographic guidelines that shaped their image. I now offer my expertise directly to clients worldwide.
